5.1.3 Height

SHOULD

The following height standards should be used on sites based on their area type and location:

  • Chester city centre: case specific.
  • Local centre / High street: up to 6 storeys
  • Urban neighbourhood: up to 4 storeys
  • Suburban: up to 3 storeys
  • Village: up to 2 storeys, unless there are strong contextual indicators to justify greater height
