6.9 Garages
SHOULD
Garages should be designed and built to the same level of architectural quality as homes.
MUST
Garages must comply with the same architectural codes as homes, in addition to the guidance in the Parking Standards SPDopens new window.
SHOULD
Garage doors should be in a style and materials appropriate to the building. For example, a Georgian or Victorian-style house should have classically proportioned garage doors, while a vernacular style house should have "barn door" style garage doors.
