Funding opportunities
NHS England Transforming Care Programme:
Capital Grants: Funding available for developing new housing projects and adapting existing properties to meet the needs of individuals transitioning from institutional care to community-based settings.
Revenue Funding: Support for ongoing care and support services to ensure individuals can live independently in the community.
Local Authority Funding:
Cheshire West and Chester Council: Allocates budget for housing and support services for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. This includes funding for new housing developments, adaptations, and support services.
Partnerships with Housing Associations:
Registered Social Landlords (RSLs): Collaborate with local authorities to develop and manage supported housing projects. RSLs can access funding from various sources, including government grants and private investments.
Homes England:
Affordable Homes Programme: Provides funding for the development of affordable housing, including supported living and specialist accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
Charitable and Voluntary Sector Funding:
Grants from Charitable Organisations: Various charities and foundations offer grants to support housing projects for vulnerable populations. These grants can be used for capital projects, service delivery, and capacity building.
Innovative Funding Models:
Social Impact Bonds (SIBs): A funding mechanism where private investors provide upfront capital for social projects, with returns linked to the achievement of specific outcomes. SIBs can be used to fund housing and support services for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
Community Infrastructure Levy(CIL):
Local Infrastructure Projects: Funds collected through CIL can be allocated to support local infrastructure projects, including the development of specialist housing.
