Housing strategy/prospectus
Opportunities for delivery and collaborative partnerships
To achieve our goals of delivering new homes and services, we will collaborate with partners and other providers to support innovation and pursue opportunities.
With the help of our partners, we aim to identify existing supported housing assets that can be remodelled and recommissioned to meet our new requirements.
With the help of our partners, we aim to identify existing supported housing assets that can be remodelled and recommissioned to meet our new requirements. We will explore possibilities through council-owned and other public sector sites, and where feasible, private sites available on the market.
Our objective is to align with the regeneration plans for Cheshire West andChester Council, offering specialised homes in emerging communities.
When suitable, we will apply for available funding.
We will pursue opportunities through S106 negotiations and by influencing new house builders to incorporate our goals into their development projects.
Our established partnerships will be actively involved in helping us achieve our objectives, but we remain open to broader solutions where unique opportunities or expertise exist.
We will communicate the challenge to providers, confident that they will develop innovative solutions and take the lead on delivery, engaging both public and private sectors.
Additionally, we will collaborate with the voluntary, community and Social Enterprise sectors to deliver care and support.
Our existing Housing Delivery Plan will guide us in developing our approach, having already identified sites and opportunities.
The delivery process will emphasise partnership working and innovation from providers, rather than a council-led commissioning approach.
